Snorkelling Inspiration

I joined your Perth workshop a few years ago, Mark, and learnt so much about painting water, both above and below the ocean.

After spending a few weeks snorkelling in West Papua New Guinea in January I am now inspired to paint underwater scenes.

Thank you, Doug. I am an avid snorkeler and am blessed to live in Perth where we have fabulous reefs with an abundance of sea life. These provide much of my inspiration as well as other snorkelling trips I’ve undertaken to West Papua, Ningaloo, Abrolhos Islands and the Great Barrier Reef.

Dear Jenny, Your painting of this " friendly" sea turtle is a beauty. My wife, Kate, and I love our snorkeling trips to St.John, U.S.V.I. and especially enjoy swimming with the turtles.Your colors of the reef and the glancing of your fiend towards the viewer make your painting so real.It makes me want to hop into the frame and swim with this friendly guy. Excellent. Doug
