I have been painting a lot of mountain scenes and a lot of scenes with water. I am for some reason drawn to doing mountains and water, but I now have switched to painting some other scenes with lighthouses.
My husband and I have a cottage. We have it decorated it with lighthouses. Also we have been to the Bruce peninsula and Tobermory we have seen lighthouses. I love this lighthouse painting (Landscape III) as it is very colourful and whimsical.
I am using my palette knife for the mountains. I had trouble painting the green hilly part in front of the mountains on "Landscape" .
I struggle with my trees but with practice they are getting better. As with all things practice is the key. I am enjoying my hobby so much. I have sold one landscape painting so far.
