A Right Cow!

by Dallas Nyberg
(Cowra, NSW, Australia)

Got Milk?

Got Milk?

I have been painting, using acrylics on canvas, since 2008.
I use both an airbrush and traditional brushes to render the artwork.

Fortunately, I have been lucky enough to be commissioned to paint several pieces over the years.

Possibly the one that had me perplexed, was a commissioned painting of a cow.

I looked at endless photo references and they just did not "pop" for me... Any painting from these photos, would have been a cliche of the subject.

I knew that it had to be a cow, but how to present it and make it interesting was a challenge.

Then it dawned on me... don't bring the viewer to the cow, bring the cow to the viewer.... it worked.. the new owner loved it...

not a typo NEW

Regarding whether or not the artist is "MALE"....I do think when Pam said "she" in her post, that was a reference to the cow. Not the artist.

Oops..funny typo!!...

This Wonderful all-round talented artist, is actually a terrific MALE artist. He has a good sense of humour & is probably laughing at the typo. Look up his work, absolutely stunning.
