Travel Withdrawals!

I’m sure most of you, like me, are disappointed you can’t travel right now. So I’m losing myself in painting the Solomon Islands, one of my favourite places in the world to visit.

I know it’s not the same thing, but painting for any reason has gotta be a good thing right?

Why not take a minute to trawl through your favourite old photos and relive some memories, and improve your skills while you're at it!

AA 100th Edition Giveaway Winners!

Congratulations to our winners of the original painting and prints:

You can even nominate someone if you like. (Or yourself!). To do this, check out the forum and then send us an email! It’s that easy.

This month we're featuring artist Rhonda Pock from Omak, WA USA, with her cute painting,"Pip". Thanks so much for sharing your painting Pip, this piece brings such a fun energy!

You might have seen Kristian Mensa’s quirky art kicking around the internet for the past couple of years. If not, have a little dive into his way of the world. Artist and dancer, he was chosen by HuffPost in the 20UNDER20 - list of most innovative young creators of 2018.

You’ve also possibly seen Erin’s “Our Great Indoors” series of epic photos she created during the pandemic popping up on your screens. Here’s a bit more about Erin, and have a look at “that” photo series!

If you have a link you like, please share it with us! You can contact us to let us know. Thank you!

This is the section where you can "get your name in lights!" (well at least out there in the internet world!).

If you have works in progress you would love to show off, or finished pieces you are particularly proud of, we would love to see them!

We especially like to hear about the story behind the creation.

This month's submission comes from beautiful expressive painter Christine Read, who is also one of the lovely members at the Lennox Arts Collective gallery here.

It's a bit different this month! Christine and fellow LAC member Narelle Bretherton have a chat together on Youtube about the evolution of Christine's fantasy still life painting "Feast", and here's some progress shots for you to have a look at too :) Here's the link to the interview of the evolution of this painting!

Thanks so much Christine and Narelle for giving us an insight into this gorgeous painting! To follow Christine on her social pages,

We hope you enjoyed this issue of Acrylics Anonymous!
