I'm a bit of a bird watcher (or twitcher as we call them here in the UK) and after seeing a beautiful photo of a swan preening I decided to have a go at painting something similar. Getting the feather texture was quite difficult at first as I wanted to convey both softness and strength/stiffness in the flight feathers. One aspect that I was pleased about was the soft indistinct edges around the swan's body which seems to be much more life-like than a hard edge.

I am joining with a group of friends and holding an exhibition so I have decided to have a few prints taken of the Swans, as I'm hopeful they will sell. I'm also making some cards with photos of them ... art cards sell really well over here.

I like to watch birds and love to spend my time with them. The custom essay australia is helping the students to make their research paper ready for their examination, while they have no enough time to complete by themseves. Birds feather looks so beautiful, but we should not kill the birds for collecting the bird's feather.

I love your work, birds are a favourite of mine too, although in coloured pencil, not acrylic (yet). Good luck with the exhibition.

I have just started using acrylics and I am always drawn to painting animals. This is exquisite and I love the way you captured so much about this beautiful bird. His eye, the colors in his feathers, the softness. I love everything about this - you are an inspiration!
